The founder of ALDO, Mr. B., was born as the son of a shoe merchant and the grandson of a cobbler, and he believed in more than just selling shoes. His eponymous shoe line debuted on store shelves in 1972, and in 1978 the first standalone ALDO store opened in Montreal, the city he fell in love with. Since then, he has been determined to create a new kind of business.
